Being made redundant.......sucks.

After 4 loyal years working for Jaguar/Landrover iv been made redundant as of today. What a load of [Poor language removed]. It's devestating for me my partner an the little one. Puts us in the [Poor language removed] so badly i just dont know were to start.

They say it's down to "the credit crunch" about 400 of us went. Last in first out an all that. We were given one weeks pay for each year worked. [Poor language removed]......is that all were worth.

Feel down as [Poor language removed] today..

No jobs out their, an non on that money. Just dont know what the future hold. What sort of dad am i if i can't support my little angel.

Just hope somthing comes up soon, as we'll probably lose the house in a couple of months. As you know banks really dont give a [Poor language removed].



Sorry to put a downer on the site. What ever doesnt kill you makes you stronger hey!!

My mum & dad worked at Marconi in Liverpool which closed down but both have better paying jobs now so keep the faith.

Sorry to hear about your awful news mate,I know how you feel it happened to me in 77 from Plesseys in edge lane my daughter was 7 at the time.I applied for a few jobs but while I was waiting for replies my wife suggested I try nursing and it turned out to be the best thing that happened to me,It was not easy on the money during training but I reaped the rewards later so there is hope mate best of luck.

I work for Anglian Windows and for years know we have been losing work and making people redundants, just when you think they cant lay any more people off they do.

They're having another clear out soon and although its supposedly only on nights my department are currently over staffed so if someone picks up on it i could be out the door.

But i don't have a family and a house to pay for so it wont be that much of a loss for me.

Hope you manage to find a new job Sharpy and its on double the wages and half the hours
