To be fair to Moyes, he's never played Gueye in Vellios' position. There's a long list of awful players he has picked instead of Vellios but this season the only forwards we've played are Jelavic and Anichebe, who are both having good seasons.

Hes loaning Barkley out to get some decent match practice, and Anichebe's form is keeping Vellios out.

And Barkley has played 45 minutes for Everton this season. That's quite near the first team.
