Beer, revisited

This? It's a lovely brew. Ommegang Three Philosophers is similar (though some with more advanced tastes may disagree) and also very good.

I had one of those a couple of weeks ago, very nice brew. And you can't take offense at a beer with such a jolly fella on the bottle.

Tonight's stout effort and very nice too. Hopefully will be able to take a trip to Buxton next week to the Tap House.

Had some nice Wiper and True beers recently, looks like they're from down your way @ste d' indica

They are mate, right in the heart of town. You see their regular range in bottles a fair bit down here, and less frequently (sadly) on the bar. What I like about them is they're really experimental with their brews but not in a "hey we're dead wacky us" kinda way. Good brewery.

And very nice it was, so I picked up a couple in Tesco on the way home (along with a 'Dublin Porter'). Apparently based on an 1801 recipe from the archives; malt, chocolate, coffee, a little vanilla, very tasty.

I've been meaning to give these a try, will add them to my shopping list.

Fancied a rare Guinness a few weeks back but the local had sold out, they did have a bottle of this though:

One of my favorite types of Guinness.
