Stuck in Pwllheli after missing my bus. Lashing it down and one and a half hours to wait. There are however compensations.

The 'official ale of the Football Association of Wales' apparently. A bit dry for my liking, but perfectly drinkable.

More to my taste, bloody gorgeous.

Just because it hasn't made it to Wales, doesn't disqualify it as a perfectly acceptable word.

There's a great pub who do wonderful Sunday dinners. Unfortunately, because it's so wonderful it's always packed to the rafters. Consequently, long wait for a seat and meal. Then, missed bus. Worth it though, five slabs of lamb, roasties, parsnips, red cabbage, cauliflower cheese, green beans, carrot and turnip (particularly nice with loads of pepper) and a Yorkshire pudding, at my request. All for ten quid. Worth missing the bus.

I've been in Wales two months. Terrible Americanism, although originally a nineteenth century English expression.
