Keeps longer maybe? The 'extra cold' gimmick seems a bit dated and pointless. I remember you used to be able to get Heineken at -1c for one summer until everyone realised it was a waste of time and energy

I only drink Guinness if they haven’t got any real stuff on or they’ve run out and the chilled stuff just kills the taste dead.

I think you’re right though, about it making it last longer. It’s more expensive than regular stuff too !

Why does virtually every pub nowadays, only served chilled Guinness ????

I was thinking the same thing this afternoon £5.50 in north London as there was no cask ale.

Has anyone tried Impossibrew? Keep getting ads for it. Alcahol free beer but you're still meant to have that 1/2 pint feel after drinking them. Seems too good to be true and a bit of a fad.

Dark & Perilous Nights, Bourbon BA Imperial Stout. Gorgeous beer, like drinking dark chocolate, raisin & burnt toffee flavoured engine oil.

Absolute 'kin sith lord.

I’ve been as critical as anyone about J.W. Lees beer but I’ve just had a pint of their Moonraker strong ale in ‘Spoons in Prescot and it was very good, try it if you can find it.

Disgraceful way to serve Guinness. Have a bleeding lager and be done with it……..

Gets a bit of unfair press imo.

It’s much better than Doombar and is a decent pint if looked after and there lies the problem.
