I`m exactly the same mate.

Although I much much prefer being in my local, same as everyone I`ve had no choice, so I`ve been buying cases of local stuff to try and support local brewers.

It`s a bit hit and miss tbh, but I`ve found some real crackers that I`m going to keep buying in the future.

Yeah, quality control for some smaller batch stuff can be an issue. I guess they don't have the same technology as the bigger breweries.

A perk of my mate owning a beer shop. He sold them all before he managed to put them on the website!

We have a cracking little shop near us and he has similar problems, particularly with Mills.

Another one from my current favourite brewery, Brimstage.

Woolly Back lager ( 4.5% )

Quite sweet and would go well with a curry, plus it’s a lager that’s very drinkable in the Winter too.

Not sure I could drink a lot of it, with it being so sweet.

2 coffees , a berrocca, a semi decent fry-up, about 8 gallons of water and nothing would shift my hangover till I just drank a can of Moretti.

I’ve had an Aldi beer weekend. Their IPAs are generally mediocre so I will stick to my usuals now.

They were a LOT better about 5 years ago. I still have some of their Despot beers...actually I have a lot of their Despot beers from then. I'm not allowed ot buy any more stouts before I clean out my beer closet per my wife.

Yeah, they were a bit hit or miss from me. I haven't been out to their location yet, but it seems quite nice (as in the middle of nowhere nice).
