Last nights offering - Gem 4.1% from a new one to me - Bath Brewery.
It was that good, I stayed on it all night, despite other beers being on offer.

Yes mate. It has that sweetness that seems to popular in some imperial stouts based upon pudding like recipes.

I've seen a number of pictures like this of a tap handle with a small jar at the base. Is the jar full of the beer on tap so you can see what it looks like before ordering? I've never seen that in the USA.

Is the intention to give a visual sense of how long the cask has been on and how much it's oxidized? So if you were ordering kegged beer instead, there wouldn't be a jar because you'd expect it to stay more or less stable over time?
