Beer, revisited

I can’t think of anything on draft other than mild, that’s below 3% ?
It's tiered per % of ABV so between the 2.8% and 7.5% bracket the rate is 19.08p per % per litre they produce, so a 4% beer pays 19.08p more than a 3.9%

Stella lowered their % about a decade ago so that it sits just below the 5% mark, hence saving them a fair wack on the duty they pay and pass on.

Drank this last night, couldn't post cos it finished me off

Been saving it for ages, 'Ola Dubh' translates as black oil and it certainly lives up to the name. Matured in Higland Park casks, its strong, dark, viscous and complex, 8% old ale, like a porter/barley wine cross.

They're fappin over it on Rate Beer where it scored 99/100

Never tried this brewer's beers before : Inveralmond (Perth) Bard , taste you could easily get used to,with caramel gubbins.

A couple of these in the Queen's Royal in New Brighton. Always like Salopian beers, nice and refreshing.
