Beaten to a 150k signing by PRESTON?

Most likely Lonergan wanted first team football, apart from anything else. He may have trained with us but he didnt go to the States so we can't have been over keen. Add to that the fact that, despite everything, Mucha is still here and is probably the best 2nd choice keeper in England, why would we want him ?

this is more than likely the scenario and the media are just making story out of nothing. I think Mucha will leave too to be honest as he has already come out and say he doesn't want to be a reserve again

at least it isn't the type of farce that happened the last time a keeper chose Leeds over us!

Anytime I have seen Mucha I have been very impressed.I would much rather keep him and give him more playing time next season as I think he has the ability to become a top keeper.

[Mucha] was like a football attracting vortex on Saturday night.

Agreed. I hope this is due to the new awful camouflage kit. It is hideous, but if in the split-second a striker is looking to identify "where's the keeper" and he can't, that could be an advantage to us. So I'm hoping that will be the effect of the camo-kit. Because as a fashion statement, it is TERRIBLE.

I still like whoever made the comment before that putting Mucha in camouflage makes him look like a badass war criminal. Takes his intimidation level up a notch for sure...

There is one disturbing fact here which applies even if it's all bollocks: a newspaper didn't think twice about saying we, Everton, a premier league team, couldn't afford a 150k signing. Whether it's true or not is kind of besides the point -- that's a depressing reality even if the story is 100% bollocks.
