BE HONEST

Anyone who didn't have doubts is a bit weird imo. He got his team relegated.
Should of had doubts, doubts that Martinez has answered with a vengeance.

I'll admit i had my doubts, he has been fantastic, a breath of fresh air. Just wish he would work on attacking and defending corners a small bit.. couple of times Pool away Palace home i think his team selection and tactics have been wrong but overall he has been brilliant.

We believe again

i wasnt over happy with his appointment but he has done well and changed our style and outlook on the game. However, its when he has to replace established players that the real test will come, we had a pretty solid defence already but if the thinks Alcatraz is the quality of defender we need then we have problems,, hopefully his next lot of signings will be in the Barry and james Mac mould, time will tell but overall a great first season,,Thanks Bobby

wasnt exactly doing cart wheels but that being said. i'd take 5th anyway if the week. praying that this good fortune continues to next seaon

Very surprised. I didn't hate him or anything before he came, but I was underwhelmed.

But he's been nothing short of sensational. Just a shame about the cup game and his comments before the City game about making the city proud or whatever it was. Oh, and cronyism with Alcaraz and Kone. They're the only black marks though.

Let me crack open the vaults on this one. From a thread titled "League final position prediction." Ahem, excuse me...

I voted 5th, but if we get good FA Cup draws I'd sacrifice a place or two to focus on the Cup and go for the win.

Ahhhh, yes, there it is.

I wasn't convinced at first and I still think his defining moment is yet to come - can he build a defence worthy of a top 4 side. I think we have conceded more goals than we should have this season, but that is part and parcel of introducing a totally new system. How he improves the defence while keeping the silky football will be the measure of his credentials.
His 2 defensive signings so far don't fill me with a great deal of confidence

Did not trust RM when it came to defending - still at times I am cautious.

This is his first season and he has had a great season, but we need to see how he does next season before we see how good he really is.

All will depend on what players he signs.

Under DM only 2 seasons we were not in the top 8.

Man Utd, Spurs, Arsenal, Newcastle, Sunderland (as they have money), Villa (new owner on the cards), Southampton will all spend - so we need to get the players in as we do not want Europe to affect the league position next season.

You're still in the "Not-quite-fully-believing" camp at the moment, not yet been converted into the now heavily populated "Believers" camp.

Soon my friend.

Soon.

When Roberto was appointed a lot of fans were not warm to his appointment but this season has proved to be a successful one at that. I have not known one fan to come forward to admit that he or she was one of the one's who doubted his appointment. I was always in favour of Roberto coming to Everton because of the football he played at Wigan despite their relegation.
We as a club will get stronger and better. Roll on next season

oh i doubted and doubted a lot!

still got my concerns on a few things ie.. spending money well plus a couple of other tiny ones.

but defo prooved me wrong so far love the fella to bits.

Hands up here to, I still think he has a lot to prove, he walked into a pretty good set up and improved us!

Still think the proof in the pudding will be the next two transfer windows!
