Lost most of its credibility during the recent Election here.

Which is a shame because the BBC was once a shining beacon.

I quite like the English language version of France 24.

I don’t know if that is available down in God’s Own Oz.

CNN is superb, of course.

Christianne Amanpour and Fareed Zakaria are top class journalists.

But the BBC?

I would watch Sky News before BBC News any day.

They're in bed with some rich tories. Most of the country are tories so the BBC appeal to them.

I can confirm Australian TV is the utter pits especially the terrestrial news services. Having said that Sky News Australia does appear to provide balanced reporting on current affairs.

The BBC channels on streaming services do have some entertaining content in comparison.

The BBC has a foot pressing on its throat by current government as it decides whether or not to decriminalise not paying the license fee, the news narrative it follows reflects the BBC position it has with the Government.

Myself stopped paying licenceand watching BBC and live TV last autumn, its just an increasing irrelevance, its main target audience is 54 and upwards and it caters for their needs mainly. With the internet now BBC is just poor value.
