BBC drama 9pm tonight - "United"

A good watch - Made you very aware of the horrors survivors and club had to go through and live with in the aftermath....
Defo pointed the finger of blame at the xenophobic F.A of the time (surprised Alan Hardaker's family aren't kicking off in the papers today rather than Matt Busbys)

One of the biggest eye-openers I thought was seeing the very meagre dwellings of the young Bobby Charlton - food for thought for the Ballatelli's and Cashley Coles of the modern era......
 


Watched the rest of that last night. Very moving. Harry Gregg - balls of steel. As daza_1973 says - Hardaker was portrayed as the bad guy, so I can only think the Busby family were upset that Sir matt a) didn't have a primary role in the drama or b ) his character in this made a mea culpa statement about responsibility for the deaths. By the way, I dont think the script did Bobby Charlton any favours - he cam across like a right wet blanket.
