About the MOTD2 coverage I really think you have jumped off the deep end.

As far as Young is concerned, on the 2nd incident Hibbert's foot did catch him. We were lucky not to have a penalty given, many refs would have. Hibbert's shortcomings were exposed and revealed for all to see. His positioning was crap, leaving Young too much room which meant Hibbert was always playing catch up. His passing was also awful, look where he won a tackle and then gave the ball to a villa player 5 yards away!!! Come the semi, Ronaldo will crucify him. We need a good left back to really make us solid back there.

AS for Neville they were heaping praise on him for his game, how he was breaking or slowing down their attacks, and look where he ran back and intercepted a cross! Carsley played a similar game. And who was it that was moaning about the panel pointing out Neville's destructive qualities? You want to wake up because that is what we need in the middle, a hard man.

Fellaini quite rightly is in thw wrong. With the compilation last night it was clear for all to see that the use of his elbow was deliberate in all those incidents it was not at all accidental. TBH he needs red card or two to wake him up. As far I as am concerned if that is the way he plays, I do not want that kind of player at Everton. I said the same of Ferguson when he was being silly. Let me ask what would you have said if he had broken someone's jaw or cheek bone, would he have been any kind of different player from the Toon ***t who tried to kill Anichebe?

AS to the game, our goals came from very good play unlike Villa's. The free kick was harsh but Milner did strike it well. The penalty should not have been given, there was no intent on Lescott's part and their player was not in a scoring situation. I do not think there was any foul, it was just like having a clash of heads. The game rightly should be stopped for treatment to take place but then it should have been a bounced ball!!

Finally in summary the panel did say they felt Everton would finish above Villa.

I assume you didn't watch the full matches from the compilation?. If that same player was attempting to gauge Fellainis eye out, stamping on his feet and putting him in a headlock, I would have said "good". I've never seen a player targeted as blatantly as Fellaini was against Middlesbrough.

A lot of young, foreign players would have shy away, but he kept at it and got a vital goal to send us to Wembley. But you don't want him at Everton? Unbelievable.

He needs to control his reactions - but a determination/passion to win will make that difficult.

He needs to keep his elbows down to be honest, it's dirty play as far as I'm concerned. If it's unitentional fair enough but alot of the elbows looked vicious and someone could seriously get hurt.

Hopefully Moyes gets a grip of him, he's capable of winning headers without having to swing his elbow.

Apart from Hull when he lost his rag, they all looked unitentional to me. The problem he has is flailing arms which are more noticable due to his height. We all know arms are needed when challenging for headers... they natrually have to come up.

1) To be fair Hibbert usually has a masterfull game against Ronaldo.

2) Neville plays well in CM for a RB, i cringe when people think he will be a long term answer to our needs in the centre. Hes not the midfeilder we need for that role.

3) No ones saying that Mofro isnt useing an elbow, lets face it anyone who watches the games has known its been part of his game for a while. Tim Cahill does it to. Alan Shearer made a career out of it along with a few others and yet some how he seemed to get away with it every game and i would think he never had a montage about him cracking people in the face. The point needs to be made thought that for me the only intentional one was against turner in the Hull game and if i rememebr corectly Turner had his Hands in Fellainis face.

Lets not pretend that it doesnt go on in football, its part and parcel of the game so lets not take the moral highground that we dont want players at Everton who compete in this way, its vital.

My probelm isnt in the fact that he does it rightly or wrongly. I have a problem with how the media focussed in on it in the context of him actually having his best spell of behaving himself, it stinks to high heavens as he has been trying to clean up his act and this just undermines this. They dont focuss on the fact that his recent goalscoring record is sublime or equally his play for such a young lad. No they focus on trying to ruin his media persona.

There seems to be one Everton player a year that is demonised by the media recently it has been Andy Johnson for diving, and before that Dunc who was no where near as bad as people made out and certainly not as bad as Goldon boy Shearer who got away with everything throughout his carrer.

There is definitely a bias

John Carew doesn't do it, he's bigger than Fellaini. The majority of centre backs he was competing against are also of similar height so that isn't really an excuse.

Three of four of them looked agressive and intentional to be honest. Some can't be helped but he needs to cut out agressive ones, the one against Hull was sickening.

He can cut them out and I'm sure he will do, Moyes will make sure of it.

Regarding your first paragraqph you can see that Young was on his way down before there was contact.

Also Motd has always been biased against Everton, it's nothing new. Although the worst of all has to be that ******** Derek McGovern in the mirror.

Thats my issue.

The constant reiteration of "he has form of doing it"

Was way over the top to demonise him as they did.

Would it have been done if he was English? or playing for Liverpool or Man Utd?

Not a f-ing chance.

So the media aren't aloud to show a player who is blatently elbowing players, whether it's intentional or not? The fact of the matter is Fellaini could hurt someone and he does seem to do it more than we think.

I have no problem with that to be honest, they are simply showing something that is true and very dangerous. Just like they did with Essien a few years ago for his dangerous tackling and Johnson for his supposed diving. Although I remember Shearer sticking up for AJ when he suspiciously fell over against Sheffield Utd.

Playing the "everyones against Everton" card is pathetic to be honest, especially when it's quite clear that he's done it quite a few times whether he means to or not, it's dangerous play. If it was another player from an opposition team I'm sure we'd all agree with it.

The only thing I was pissed off about was Match of the Day trying to make us look very defensive, what Brownie said really earlier in the thread. In terms of singling out a dirty player then no I don't have a problem, whether it's Fellaini or someone elses player.

Oi, we're allowed to be bias (y)

Oh, and why haven't they shown a compilation of Steven Gerrards diving? - or of Alan Shearers elbows? - both true? no?

You can make things look a whole lot worse by showing a short compilation. If you looked through 100 headers Cahill has challenged for, or any other player, you would be able to find a few were he looked malicious or elbows raised.

I agree that it's fair to show something that's true but as pointed out earlier They never show a collation of Shearer video nasties and he was one of the dirtiest bastards ever to set foot on a football pitch. He also happened to be agreat goal scorer but the media only focus on his goals. It's the hypocracy which makes them biased

Well. Its not the first time young Fellaini has thrown an elbow. I didnt watch MOTD, so im not 100% sure on content. But off the top of my head, i can recall a few times he has thrown a sneaky elbow.

But im fairly sure they dont show the blocking, pulling and downright ****bags tricks that defenders use to combat him. Im not saying its ok to throw elbows, im just saying that when i played football, if some **** was on my case for 90minutes and in my face, at some point in the match he was getting it.
