Why don't they show a compilation of Arteta's dives or maybe Yakubu's?

Some players get picked up on I suppose, others don't.
Fair point though I'm not sure Arteta or Yakubu are the worst offenders in the diving stakes. That said, I cringe when one of our players do it.

Just watching MOTD2, and to be honest i am disgusted in the post match 'analysis'. Total praise of Villa, Young could do wrong (No mention of his diving), lets **** the big man up for defending himself and no mention of the soft pen they got
Typical but nonetheless still disgusting

Spot on mate. Like bluebloodinmyveins said though, what do expect from RS run show. Mark Bright could not praise Villa any more if he tried but at least Steve Clarridge gave us slight credit.

Danny, open your goddamn eyes, take off the blue tinted glasses. Don't just look but see!!

Forget Shearer, Aj etc I was just pointing out a a part of Fellaini's game which is unacceptable in football and particularly unacceptable in an Everton player. I do not think in those items shown on MOTD2 that any of the elbowing was unintentional and retaliation is not acceptable either.

If HB version 1 or 2 was still here he would back me up on Hibbert, not good enough. We need a good RB!

As for Neville it seems to me that this is turning out to be one of Moye's signings just like Cahill and Lescott, can you say better.

Sound. All intentional and he's a disgrace. Bad, bad thug. Joey Barton has nothing on him.

We don't want scum like him at this football club...

As far I as am concerned if that is the way he plays, I do not want that kind of player at Everton. I said the same of Ferguson when he was being silly.

Ship him out and get Gavin McCann back.

McManamen gives us a fair shout and to be honest anyway as long as we know how good we are then who to [Poor language removed] cares, i would rather come in under the radar

I know mate, that's why I didn't include him.

Don't forget they all put their views to the masses and I'm convinced it can have an influential affect.

If what the lads (in here) have said about MOTD 2 is correct (and I believe them), and if Marouane Fellaini breaks wind this Sunday, Riley will book him.

So Danny you would like us to have players who are no more than thugs. You see no wrong in elbowing some one in the face and I suppose tackling in such a way that could result in a broken leg. Fine suggest you go off and support the Toons, or Blackburn, and other clubs of that ilk.

Me, I will stay with Everton and not shifting from my stance as to the kind of player I want in the team.

C'mon Rob, I think your going over the top here.

Fellaini should be offloaded because he is a thug? - He isn't that bad. Comes across as a good lad.

Got to laugh at the suggestion to go and support Blackburn or Newcastle.

We wern't the Dogs of War for no reason.

The fact of the matter is he's playing dangerously whether he means it or not. There's a difference between being competitive and just being dangerous. There's no excuses for it to be honest.

This isn't the first time he's done it, they showed about eight different elbows. Getting rid of him doesn't solve anything though, Moyes just needs to get a grip of him and push him in the right direction. I'm sure he will, I'm sure Fellaini will learn.

Damn, I wished I would have watched MOTD 2 now. It seems the BBC have really done a number on Fellaini -- I wonder if the BBC has plans to show a montage of the misdemeanours of Steven G-String.

Let's just say for one second David Moyes started to think, is Marouane becoming a liability -- then, I think, we really have got a problem on our hands.

Would he (Fellaini) have to go back to mainland Europe, where it's less robust. (I know we've only paid £3m, of a £15m fee) How would we/could we arrange a satisfactory release -- how much -- who to.

That is/would be an epic problem.

He hasnt shot anyone you know, i personaly hope he doesnt change his game just that he gets savier about. As in he isnt as noticable if he is going to mix it.

Lets face it Cahill does it every game but is smarter about it. Anyone who says they dont get a laugh out of Cahill winding up other players or mixing it is lying.

If your prepared to dish out a crack in the face be prepared to get one in return - all fair. You mix it, im not talking about just being competitive, but kicking people and leting them know what your about is part and always will be part of football.

No point taking the moral high ground of do's and donts theres a million instances in football of bending the rules and always will be. I think he needs to be smarter about it and learn forn Cahill. Anyone who thinks that sides play 100% fairly throughout a season is living on a different planet.

Whos to say if hed cracked one to Taylor or Nolan at Newcastle we would have Arteta onr Vic out for the season.

Just been saying on another forum...

They singled out Fellaini before an important Semi-Final.

Its exactly the same thing that happened with Johnson and the whole "Diving" thing. Lo and behold we didnt get a penalty for 37 games.

Oh, and not once did they show one of Youngs many dives.

Well done Everton :) Right decision.

I disagree mate there is plenty you can do just look at Fergie and he controls almost everything that is said about his club in the press. Its a well known fact that if an article is printed or a peice of television screened that doesnt meet with is approveeel the offending journalist or media outlet do not get interviews with players, access to press confrences etc etc. The media are terrifed of Fergie and as such have him painted as this all knowing psychological genius who messes with everyone head, basicly blowing bubbles up his back side and sucking up to him.

Granted the media might want accesss to Utd more then they do to Everton but the basci principlas still apply. If you take it that we have been involved in two domestic semi finals in the past two years, we have a manager who is air apparent to the Utd job, and we have a core of current and youth international players coming through who could possibly being the England team for years to come.

So with that in mind you start calling the shots, you let the media know what is acceptable and unacceptable in regard to coverage of your club and players, and you either restrict or grant grace and favour to your club and squad based to the media on what you consider a fair and even hadned media approach to your players and club.

I think the game is getting overly PC myself a lot of the rough and tumble is going out of it unessecarily, i like seeing players, being commited taking the odd over commiited tackle or knock and getting up to dish it out again. Footballs going to soft, i know football is in a compleatly different context but when you see some of the physicality and hits plyers take in rugby it is breath taking, funny i cant help feeling that some of the rules brought into correct Cynisisim have only led to a different kind of cynisisim.

Agreed though Mofro is turning into a terrific player, his all round game for the last two games has been superb he benifiting immensely form whatever coaching work is being done with him.

Seriously Moyesy is reading my posts!

Great news and proper order considering the effect that Media seteriotyping has had on Everton in the past.
