he deffo has quality and would love playing at goodsion a passionate player who gives 100% always fits in well

What does that have to do with quality?

He's a quality player, not a saintly role model. No one's claiming the latter.

Quality includes his professionalism on the field and off of it. I do not want cancerous sores on my team - they tend to erode the locker room. He doesn't need to be a saintly role model, but he does need to be professional, and everything I've read about him says anything but. My personal opinion, but a strong one. There is a reason Newcastle (Newcastle!) let him go.

I think that everyone's opinion of him is a bit hyperbolic, to be honest. It's not like he's just going to drop kick Moyes in the changies.

He was doing well at Newcastle but has now decided to call out Mike Ashley. He isn't the first. Not even of their current crop of players. Mike Ashley is a beaut. Newcastle's fans, despite often being beauts themselves, seem to be on Barton's side.

Fair enough - to each his own. I just don't like his track record. Moyes has bigger fish to fry than keeping an eye on him.

Bellamy: was a terrific impact player, as good on the field as he's a ****e off it - but well past his "best before" date at this point. Even if we got him on a free, not worth the wages his ego would demand.

Barton: mixed feelings here. Again, on the field this is a quality player and would improve our squad significantly. But is it worth the time and effort Moyes and the staff would have to invest to keep him in line off the field? And how would someone like him affect our famed team spirit? I'd not be too surpised to see him end up at Old Trafford, Fergie may be the only manager who could out-ego Barton.

reckon he'll go united myself, replace scholes like for like with tackling and i know its silly but bartons got a delicious delivery on him, no matter what anyone thinks of him..

I feel like Barton is not worthy of the Everton kit. I am not so desperate for good players that I would be happy with someone like Barton. Good player? Yes, but he brings a lot of baggage with him.

Barton or no one - honestly if that was the choice?

Lets be honest here we are not in position to be taking the high moral ground over a quality player for a snip of his value.Goes for Bellamy as well.

Very undecided on how McGeady would do in the PL tbh.

No way do I want Bellamy, didn't he smash a team mate with a golf club?

I would DEFO take Barton though, verry good player IMO.
