Barry Vs Beto

Who would you rather start?

If this was City they'd just acknowledge the error and loan Barry out in January and buy another striker.

Obviously we cant do that so we're stuck for a long time with this choice of Beto v Barry.

If you keep substituting your striker he will never build up any confidence, no matter which of the two you put up there.

Having said that, I would go for Barry. The kid is still young and will only improve with gametime. He is rated by some serious people and did quite good at Villareal last season. Beto works hard but has no clue how to actually play football...

The other option is to put Ndiaye up front and Dibling at RW. Then give the three op top the freedom to move around a lot. Would love to see that.

Needs to show he wants it more. Sorry not hungry enough for me today. I'll swerve the quality stuff for a while.
At least show you want the shirt.

He had to put all of the power on it and did well enough that we still scored as a result.

I wouldn't call it a sitter but then again I don't have a massive axe to grind against him.
Neither do I despite your insistence I do. Would love it if he was better than he is, we need someone there badly.

I'd say calling that header a sitter suggests you might but as you are.

I agree we need better though. It definitely seems like we might have been better served throwing the Barry and Dibling money at Woltemade earlier in the window at this point.

Hopefully they make me eat those words.

Is that City who were obviously missing a goal scorer for about 5 years before they bought Haaland?

Their choice.
Exactly, they ignored what was blindingly obvious and possibly cost themselves a couple of Champions League trophies as by the time they got Haaland a lot of their great players were nearing the end of their careers. It's not just Everton who don't acknowledge their errors.

It's a different matter when you can spend your way to form. They did and we cant...that'd be the obvious being made here.

We scored a winner from a save he nearly scored from. Did you watch the 2nd half. Miles better then passive Barry who got to step up quickly if he wants to start.
He should have scored that winner. I did watch the second half and I fail to see any positive contribution from Beto.

Don't get me wrong, Barry is far from a finished product. The difference is he is 22 years old, new to the club and has room for improvement. Beto is a finished product and not good enough for the premier league.

And like I said before, I wouldnt mind us trying Ndiaye up top.
