Yeah there is like a 2000 page thread on Moyes.. people discuss Everton players on an Everton forum..
My point is that , regardless of the player we start , we encounter the same issues due to our tactical struggles, also people just want to make this a referendum on Barry because he's the current target for the Evertonians ire

Sadly if after 30 games the manager still hasn't even bothered to try a false 9, we're never going to see it.

Genuinely Keane would be better because he wins all his headers and has scored quite a number of bangers from 25 years, as well as close-range finishes. Yes he probably wouldn't be making smart runs, but neither do these two carts.

And then it becomes even more baffling since we now have an abundance of attacking midfielders yet Moyes hasn't thought to try Ndiaye as a false 9.

Somebody with poise and exceptional close control, who is hard to knock off the ball, it hardly sounds like a recipe for disaster, does it? Just don't lump it up to his head.

Barry is 6 foot 5 and is brushed off the ball with ease, cannot control simple passes into him and I don't think has ever attempted a shot from outside of the area.

It's on the manager for bringing in Barry (and agreeing to spend £70 million on youngsters who were never getting a chance this season) in the first place, and it's most certainly on him for not trying something new in light of Barry and Beto being absolutely useless.

An attack of:

Ndiaye/George
Ndiaye/George-Dewsbury-Hall-McNeil

Would not look out of place to me. Players who will actually shoot the football, drive at defenders and look for intricate passes to open up the defence.

No idea why it isn't even be tried once. Can only assume the manager is trying to make some kind of weird point, but it's at the expense of us playing European football next season.

I agree, we've reached the point of no return here and just starting one rubbish striker and then swapping them for the other rubbish striker after 70 minutes is just pointless. I suppose the issue is we're lowering their value but anyone with eyes can see how bad they are anyway. If Moyes had a Felllaini or we still had Doucoure I think he would have gone back to his 4-6-0. However he likes to hoof it sometimes and therefore I'm not sure he'll change it, which could be his downfall if we end up in 14th at the end of the season.

Beto has 1 year left on his contract.

For that reason alone, Barry needs to start and Beto has to be sold in the summer.

We need to break out transfer record in the summer and sign a gamechanger.

Also, a reminder that Barry is matching his XG.

Both their all round game isnt up to it. Forget XG. Nobody in this league fears our centre forwards.

Need both gone.
We treat them like they are some young kids from the under 21's finding there way in the game, neither are.
If we want to get a better team neither should be starting next year.
I was all for giving Barry time to settle in to the club , Premier league ect, but he isn't showing anything.
To weak to go against the centre backs ,just gets knocked about, haven't seen anything
I could say he was really good at.
If he wasn't tall , would we put up with him.
Honestly reminds me of Brett Angel more than anything.

I think we should remember that Barry has had a shoulder injury for a long time this season, and that he has always played with it strapped up. This is a decent level of commitment when many would’ve just declared themselves unavailable.

Appreciate the views from you and many about our strikers and I partially agree. If we want to get better we need better strikers.

I’d give Barry at least another season. Hes shown just enough and his goal record has been ok since December. He’s young, it’s his first season in England and he still might develop into a good striker.

I like Beto (most on here seem to). Gives his all and works hard. You can’t really knock a player who does that. But he’s probably not good enough for a team that wants to get into Europe. If a decent-ish offer came in for him in the summer I’d sell him and would wish him the best.

However, I’d probably start Beto over Barry at the moment because he puts himself about a bit more. Plus a few more goals would probably make it easier to get a decent fee for him in the summer.

You'd seriously play him after arsenal?

Rowing back whilst simultaneously doubling down on his criticism has fractured any goodwill he had from us...

He needs to come out and apologise and appreciate that we've backed him despite his poor return...

I really like barry and i think heto is absolutely cack.

But i think barrys attitude has been atrocious over the last few games. He looks very lazy and looks like he doesn't want to be involved in the "fight".

And im sorry but if you want to be a Everton striker you have to be up for the fight. If the lad doesn't have a pair of bollocks on him then he'll never make it here
