I thought you would have a rest at xmas with the Alcaraz promos ,alas I was sadly wrong .For next christmas I will get you a pair of clear glasses not the rose tinted ones you wear day and night .Please remind me . Hope fully by then he will be further away than the moon .
I wouldn’t bother. Zat is simply plain dopey. The rest of the footballing world see Alcaraz as an average premier footballer.. Zat sees prime Kaka.

Everton this season dont control games?

The players tend to play the ball side to side and let the opposition get back.

Put 2 on Grealish and then close off the space. Its posession for posessions sake.

Slow, pointless posession which has led to a lack of penetration.

The only goals that we score this season that arent flukes, fabulous strikes or 50/50 are those when the play is fast, like Ndiaye and Alcaraz for Barrys goal.

If we played this way we'd be way further up the league.

I cant understand why were playing slower stupid football but its not "control". Its letting opposition get back into defensive positions.

I call that stupidity.
I agree we need more killer instinct in the final third. I don't think it's posession for posessions sake at all though really.

In my mind we're doing better this year because we (mostly) don't look afraid of having the ball. Not saying we're playing like peps Barca but in comparison to last season its night and day the amount of control we have in games. Playing the way that you suggest would put our back 4 under massive pressure to keep a clean sheet, as if we conceded first the opposition could just sit back and defend and we wouldn't have the system or the right players on the pitch to break down a low block.

Could argue it might be a worthwhile tradeoff if Beto was absolutely clinical, and was likely to score every time we play him into space, but he isn't. Our best players are KDH, Grealish and Ndiaye - we should be playing to their strengths, and trying to maximise their influence. Beto and Alcaraz are not the players we should be building our strategy around.

Looks like Moyes is trying to transition the style into a posession based build up.

Clearly Beto & Alcaraz arent suited to this and I expect both to he sold in Jan or summer.
