Coventry folk use batchSkirting and frequently wool areas as a kid, I would accept Barm or Bap. Nothing else. People who say Batch live in a mill town that is pronounced vastly differently from how it is spelled.
Cob is a different animal. It's crusty and can be used for sanding rust from your car.
