I get the same feelings about this kid that i got with rooney and didnt get with rodwell. You could just tell rooney was going to be a top player.

Will barkley be as good as rooney?
No chance.....
But...
If he ends up a half as good well have an excellent player on our hands!

Seriously, though, if we had the same team now as we did when Rooney broke in then Barkley would be first name on the teamsheet every week.

I remember watching him in pre season and I couldn't believe how comfortable he looked. Having just come back from a terrible injury, he just stood out from the rest.

Now all we need are safe knees

So we get a player who wants to move forward down the middle, looks for a great pass or tries to score when he can... and we, according to the OS.... are working with Stubbs on his defneding.
This is why we are who we are right now, and as another said earlier, "I dont like who we are right now".

Trouble is when you think change really, really, has to come - it generally doesn't.
