I've watched Ross about 20 times, and he's scary good, totally different to Rooney as he doesn't have Waynes Aggressive streak, which is why Ross is not already a regular, He's more similar to a Modric type, I think the horrific injury he suffered has knocked a bit of his confidence and understandably so too, with time we will have a creative midfield player that will save the club 25+ million which we'd never have had in the first place for a player of that quality, be patient people this kid is a guaranteed Gem.

There was an even better one done VS QPR, think it was taken down due to copyright..

But the lad stands out. Confidence, ability, movement, awareness, vision. He has all the attributes.

Yeah but he lost the ball then gave away a Penalty at Blackburn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why do most people on this forum build him up to be next best thing? Sure, the kid has talent, but we have only seen random spurs of it. He may just end up to be another Rodwell. I'm not calling him off, but I think he is overrated.

He will be an outstanding player, you heard it here first.

The clip that Ryan posted and many more from pre season etc on youtube show his ability. He's a fantastic footballer.

I don't get it. Everton gets credited to give young players a chance to play first team football. Yet, his talent is obvious. Moyes doesn't want to play him.

Moyes has already stated that he doesn't want to throw Barkley in there too soon. He has the ability but mentally he isn't up to it yet. He also had a horrible injury last year which put Everton's plans for him into disrepute as he would of been a first team regular by now had he not had that, I'm certain.

This season is a learning curve for Barkley. To gain match fitness after his injury, get a few minutes game time at the highest level and improve and learn through as much game time as possible at academy and reserve level. Moyes has stated he will use him towards the end of the season so he could be used in the remaining games. I think he's done well with Barkley. He came into this season with a hell of a lot of pressure on him because Everton looked like they were going nowhere in the summer and the fans needed someone who could give them a lot of hope. He made a terrible mistake against Blackburn and was taken out of the firing line, which was needed as it affected him mentally. I think Moyes has done the right thing with Barkley as there hasn't been a huge need to play him as much as there was with Rodwell when he first came into the picture as we had a terrible amount of injuries then. Barkley will reap the rewards this season and I think he'll become a first team regular next season and make a position his own, whether it be out wide or through the centre.

Agree with this 100%. Moyes is doing the right thing and Barkley will be right for next season

You can tell when a player is special. Even just from seeing little sub appearances here and there, when he's on the ball you can tell he's got something.

Hes bringing him in the same way as Rooney, he'll be on the bench and get a few minutes between now and the end of the season but next season will be his time. Dare i say ' be like a new signing'?!

He's been playing one or two games a week for MONTHS now, the fitness thing is totally irrelevant as far as i'm concerned. I don't think anybody wants him playing every week, just an appearance here or there, like when we were 2-0 up against Sunderland the other week.

Anyway, Moyes said his knees will be free of explosive material by April, he's got two games left to come good on that statement.

He is bristling with endeavour and ambition. You can see it, anyone with a passion for football can see it in himz

He broke his leg in 2 places and at his age that is something that you have to watch closely. I want to see him as much as you, lad, but I understand Moyes' on this one to be fair. I think he's handling him well. Next season though, on the other hand, he needs to be used. He's got a huge amount of ability. I've watched him loads and he'll be a star for club and country.
