So in other words, you don't respect them, Ivan. Does he think they're all going to rape him or something? I'm bisexual but I don't hit on every woman I see. So many straight men are so funny about gay men. They seem to think gay men want to shag anything with a penis.

Also, wonder how his black team mates feel about that?
He insults a variety of people at once. Oxygen is wasted on the likes of him. Nasty B

I didn’t think my opinion on Rakitic could sink any lower after that game on Tuesday yet here we are

"Respeto a los homosexuales, pero no quiero a esa gente en el vestuario. No me marcharía de un equipo por eso, porque respeto igual a un homosexual que a un negro, un gordo o un enano, pero de ser posible prefiero no tener a gays en mi vida"

That seems to be the original text. Do we have any fluent Spanish speakers who can translate? @bicycleheader The Google translate certainly doesn't read well, but sadly I know a few slavic blokes who sadly wouldn't think that was out of place.

Think @Bungle is fluent and could translate for us.

"It was a misunderstanding. I'm an open person and I have no problems with gay players. I'm open to sharing a dressing room with anyone who is a good person and a good player, and sexual orientation is not important to me."

It's a bit squirmy tbh.

I speak Spanish. Here goes: "Respect to/I respect homosexuals, but I don't want these people in the changing room. I won't leave a team for this, because I have the same respect for a homosexual as I do for a black person, a fatty or a dwarf, but I would prefer not to have gays in my life."

Which doesn't make any sense. Tit.

Fair dos. Google Translate does a pretty good job then. You'd hope he's grown up now as they're awful remarks. Arguably far more worrying is that he was being asked precisely because the head of the Croatian FA had come out with the remarks he did. That a grown man in a position of such responsibility felt able to make these comments is even more shocking.

Not going to happen.

Koemangeddon is being used to flush out other managers...managers that actually coach a team rather than play golf all day and get pissed.

I could see Barcelona severely testing Pochettino’s resolve to never manage them. I personally think Wenger would be a very good fit there for them.

It's an impressive pledge if he sticks to it when/if Barcelona come calling.

I wonder if they'd take a chance on Nuno Esperito Santo?

Leaving aside entirely any issues we have about Koeman being a complete and utter balloon animal, my question is simply: 'Why?'

Have we really reached a place whereby his managerial CV is the best Barcelona can get?

I'm genuinely baffled...
Barca has a fetish for ex-players becoming manager even if they aren't very good.

It's because they want ten Cate the Ajax coach but he would rather stay and carry on with Ajax for a bit longer.
