It is an absolutely terrific show, for me The Wire, Sopranos and Battlestar Galactica are ahead, but to be fair they are much longer series so are able to develop character and plot over a much longer run. For a mini series only Generation Kill has topped it for me.

The cast of Band of Brothers is something else, Damian Lewis and Ron Livingston are great leads but Michael Fassbender, Simon Pegg, Kirk Acevedo, David Schwimmer, Tom Hardy, James McAvoy and Jamie Bamber all show up in the supporting cast.

DON'T FORGET JIMMY FALLON!!!!

Best television production of all times. BY FAR. Watched it 12 or 13 times over the years and I want to watch it again asap. I'm waiting because I watched it in june. Also got 11 books written by the real life soldiers in the series + the Ambrose book - which I'm reading right now. Im at the Bastogne part.

Also got a painting in the mail signed my the real Malarkey, Shifty and Earl McClung here the other day.

Also sad to say that the mighty Bill Guarnere died in march, if you didn't know. My favorite character in the series and a great man in real life.

For me, the greatest ever television series.

Just started watching again. Must be the fourth or fifth time round.

It's just incredible.

The first time I saw the concentration camp episode I was blown away. So moving.

The Pacific was a bit lame in comparison.

Agree on all counts. I watch it once a year without fail.
