Reading the local newspaper this morning I read two accounts of dogs attacking folk going about their day to day business. Nothing as bad of course as the recent pensioner killing in Clubmoor but still serious.
It got me thinking - why do we even allow dogs to be kept as pets that can kill a person in a minute under certain circumstances?
Maybe I'm wrong but it seems the majority of dangerous dog owners are teenage scallies using them as status symbols.
I'm only talking about banning more breeds of "dangerous dogs" such as those that look like Pit Bulls and basically any dog that can do serious damage in a short space of time - so not Labradors, Poodles and Spaniels!
Thoughts?
