"And Everton left-back Leighton Baines, on as an early replacement for injured Ashley Cole, was in the sort of dashing mood that has his admirers convinced he is now almost the Chelsea defender's equal, contributing a crucial and clever touch for Young's equaliser".

If Coleman can be anything as good as Baines from a right back berth then I think we've got a few tricks up our sleeve this coming season...

Hopefully Seamus will develop along similar lines at RB! Im convinced Moyes wont give him a game there because he feels Coleman and Baines together are to small and he want height defensively for set peices. Many forget that Baines was out of the team for more or less two years after signing, he developed a lot during that time and took his chance post Lescott - which isnt that long ago. I can remember sell Baines threads on here.

He is by far better the Ashley Cole for me.

Regarding the height factor....

Jags/Distin/Fellaini/Rodwell are all good sized + for set pieces Moyes puts everyone in the box anyway.

I've said it before and and I'll say it again life moves pretty fas....oh no, that's something else....but Baines and Fellaini are the two players we cannot lose. They are invaluable. I can't think of a price that I'd accept.

In an alternate universe, because it would never happen here, if Baines did go to Eastlands, I do think that a Cargo plane may or may not dump around 42,000 pounds of Rubber Dog **** on Eastlands. Just saying. It can be done.
