It'd be awful if that was the case, give him one derby and see how he does. If he doesn't hack it then Yobo can come in for the second.

Baines shouldn't be dropped. Hasnt put a foot wrong and it would really dent his confidence if he was dropped for the derbys. He's waited for his chance and this is it, so let's give him games.

I dont think Moyes will change it if im honest hes shown in the past he wont change a winning team. Hes also shown hes willing to leave Yobo out of the team to keep clean sheets.

Baines doesnt deserve to e dropped and i wouldnt blame him leaving if he was, i think Moyes is a fan of him as a player.

In previous seasons, Moyes has shown that he is reluctant to change a winning side - no matter who has come back from injury.

Redknapp said:
'Everton made an offer of taking Jermaine for loan till the end of the season with a view to a permanent deal. It's not something we were interested in as we asked if there players would be available for a swap but Bill said no. So I think that's done.'

watch this space.

The only thing wrong with baines earlier on in his everton career to my eyes, was when a cross came over from the right he seemed to get outmuscled a lot on the back post by stronger attackers, I think it cost us a couple if times.

But Hulls only tactic against us was to bomb the ball up towards baines and try to exploit that weakness, but it didnt work.
The run he's having in the side at the moment, he seems to be much more solid.
I think it may just be down to awareness of who's coming in behind him, which has improved with his overall sharpness and match fitness.

That was Baines's weakness but he has definetly improved on that since he's got match fit again. I remember Patrice Evra's debut at Man City, when they just kept pumping long high balls to expose his height. That's what teams do to Baines, which is why Moyes plays Lescott there. But Baines has got alot sharper and looks more confident now.
Keep it up Bainsey lad.

I think Baines has done well.

I do think he'll keep his place against Liverpool, even if Yobo's fit.

Baines has been part of how many clean sheets now? Plus, is the derby a match you want Yobo coming back into after being out as long as he has been?

I'm a big Yobo fan but I think Baines keeps his place right now.
