BAINES ON HIS WAY?

I honestly don't think Baines wants to leave. It sounds insane not wanting to leave 6th place and skint for arguably the world's biggest club and the champions, but yeah.

My brother went today and claims Baines took a bad knock in the 2nd half may have been having treatment for the injury!

I don't see anything in it, could be a whole host of things and out of Felli or him, Baines is the least likely to go.

I will wish him well if he goes, but please Bainesy, stay where you will be a hero and with the club you love, rather than just another pawn in a united team.

We're buying someone from Villa and Leighton was needed to watch the first half of the game and give his opinion (it's not a left back btw).

Taps nose!

The thing about the Baines situation is he wouldn't force a move in any way, so from that perspective we are in complete control of the situation. I just hope to God we don't sell. It's so rare we'd have a player of his quality in the prime of his career with his attitude. To sell him, would be to send the worst possible message to the fans.

Let's be realistic here:

Baines was outstanding until Christmas last season, then faded away pretty badly and offered little for the final half of the season.

Coleman has looked, by far, the better of the two so far this season.

Coleman is also five (guessed) years younger than Baines.

If we can get 20m for Baines it wouldn't be a disaster IF Martinez had a good left back lined up and was able to fill another position we desperately need filling, i.e. central midfield or up front.

What? do you watch the game in brail or something?

You've posted some garbage you, but that takes the biscuit.

 I hate Kenwright more than most, but also realise one of Baines or Fellaini is going to end up at United. At least I am attempting to convince myself we could somehow benefit from the deal.

He wasn't that good post-Christmas mate. Take off the blue-tinted glasses for a moment.

New contract innit. Superb.

Yes, a positive outlook on it! Haha.

Could mean that or he's asked to go and the wheels are in motion?!. He's probably are best player but IF he wants to go to try and win things at his age and stage of his career, then fair do's for me cos he's been a brilliant servant to us and tbh, deserves to play on the big stage and be playing for top honours!.

But I do hope it was contract talks but it could possibly be nothing.
