Crouch definitely not i miss dunc but not that much with messers Neville, Hibbert and Jagielka in the team im looking at you Howard too.

Id be tempted to go for Darren Bent at Spurs though, not the no 10 Suits was speaking of by think Yakubu can make an awfull lot of chances for himself and others.

Bents wages are a reportrd 93kper week! That wage will just not happen at a club like ours, i'd like to think that bully beef and blue bill have still got some morale fibre not to shatter our wage structure.(y)

Baines was pretty good the other night. I had my worries about him becasue I still he think he has trouble defending. With his sweet low crosses Johnson's strike rate should increase when they get a chance to work together.

Crouch: can't really decide. He can't head the ball on net for [Poor language removed] but on the other hand he's pretty good at knocking down long balls in which guys like Cahill could jump on (despite being big Yak isn't very good at this). Don't think the [Poor language removed] would sell anyone to us at the moment due to our league position. Prob worth about 7-8M. Would rather use that money on a RB or holding/playmaking CM. I think we might have to sell Johnson to get him, not sure if I'd rather Crouch over AJ.

Baines looked the tits early on in the season. He's been unlucky that Jagielka has came in and played well and Lescott is almost undroppable.

He's fast, good on the ball and whips in a good cross, theres time for him to shine in the games left but next season I reckon he will nail down a place well enough.

Lets face it if Crouch played for us (and the thought makes me shudder) we would with out doubt play hoofball Hibbo or Nev would race towards the halfway line then launch the ball goalwards where the worst header of a ball I have seen would be waiting to let it hit him.(n)

We need Crouch, at least I do, my runner beans need a stick to grow up and he'll do nicely, he could also sort the TV aerial out as well(y)

Too many times I see Hibbo or Neville (occasionally Jolean and Yobo) launching the ball upfield trying to find the ghost of Duncan. Put Crouch in and they'd never stop.

Hey everyone,

I reckon Baines was easily our best player on that pitch the other night, he may be a little rusty but everytime he touched the ball i wondered where he has been. I think the back four is his best postition, just wondering what happens now with Jags playing well. Baines on the bench?

Also i hate the s*ite, but is there any chance of Crouch joining us in the summer as i reckon he is on his way out, i think he is a good player apart from the jersey he wears would he be welcomed?

Crouch and Baines are both severely average.

I'll run with that RBJ, Baines concerns me, he can leave the defence stranded more than Hibbo and seems lost at times. He will need more time yet but I do have question marks about him. Possibly if he was allowed a crack at some of the free kicks in and about the area, we all know he can hit them, it would do his confidence some good.

IMO he will be our best left back for years, but but but he'll need to stay injury-free for a long time. He has the pace and technical ability to take part in the setup play. I actually think that the back position are more and more dependent on the players there having pace and skill than tackling ability.

But yes Monty let him take some set pieces, it not like Arteta has been doing a lot with them lately.

No Teta hasn't been doing things with them all season, I made a thrad about my thoughts on his dead ball kicking not long after the season started. I'm not fully convinced by Bainsey yet as I do feel he has a lot to learn and his confidence is low. Possibly he tries too hard when he gets his chances, he is a blue after all is said and done.

Hopefully he will take the Jagielka route: bewildered player -> ace defender:D

Is everyone serious about Crouch?! Hes a poor player, he really is poor. Hes terrible in the air and the only reason he causes any type of problem is because players cant believe his legs are so skinny and they get a bit confused to how he stays standing.

Baines in my opinion is a very good left back, hes pacey, can pass and gets stuck into a tackle. Its a dilemma because I think Baines offers more going forward in a wing back type of way rather than Lescott. Lescott is the nuts at centre back and then going forward for set pieces. But Jags has been fantastic- he had a blip against West Ham and Fulham but I fully expect him to be at his best come Sunday.
