Baines and Peter Crouch

Hey everyone,

I reckon Baines was easily our best player on that pitch the other night, he may be a little rusty but everytime he touched the ball i wondered where he has been. I think the back four is his best postition, just wondering what happens now with Jags playing well. Baines on the bench?

Also i hate the s*ite, but is there any chance of Crouch joining us in the summer as i reckon he is on his way out, i think he is a good player apart from the jersey he wears would he be welcomed?

Putting the blinkers away I think he's a alright player and would add another dimension too our attack. Whenever he plays for Liverpool he scores I really can't understand why they persist with Kuyt when Crouch causes teams alot of problems with his height...

Kuyt is just crap.

Id definitely have Crouch here (part of me just died saying that), although he wouldnt get ahead of AJ and Yak, he would be really useful, fact is, the lanky streak scores regulary when played.

As for Baines, he should start every game. Whether it be left back or left wing. Its essential that Lescott is centre back for the derby, simply because of Torres.

Hmm, Jags and Lescott dont gel well for some reason. I hope Yobo is back. However if he isnt and Lescott is CB, i hope he doesnt go forward to much because they will tear us a new one on the counter.

If Crouch's days at the RS are numbered, i wouldnt be against us trying to bring him in. Worth a shot.

As for Baines, I like him as well. Think he needs games under his belt now but a good player IMO.

I'd rather have Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.

They might be about the same(over-inflated english prices!)

I know they aren't exactly the same type of player, and crouch has the height advantage.

we dont need pace, aj and vaughan are the options there.
we dont need brawn, yak, vic and cahill do that job.

what we want is a tricky player like a bergkamp, a zola, a berbatov, spud at manure, like a cantona.

someone capable of scoring, but with loads of class and capability of making assist after assist after assist. the clever quick passing is what we miss in the middle, not just up front but a deep midfielder that can dictate as well.

not too keen on signing crouch, but if we did i think it'd be worth hiring big dunc as a consultant to assist crouch in "asserting" himself. for a big lad, not only does he not physically impose himself but he seems to jump about 6 ins less than his official height.

Thing with crouch is, is that for the last 5yrs, everybody has disliked him because of his ugly, lanky body. But he has done his job in that time and always seams to be a threat, But because of that stigma, and the fact he plays for the [Poor language removed], I just cannot see myself goin absolutly mental if he scores a goal for us. But, anybody who wears the royal blue will always be welcome.

By this i would drop Jag's, good centre back but he's not great against better opposition but he has been in great form.

Plus i think Yobo and Lescott is the way forward.

Crouch definitely not i miss dunc but not that much with messers Neville, Hibbert and Jagielka in the team im looking at you Howard too.

Id be tempted to go for Darren Bent at Spurs though, not the no 10 Suits was speaking of by think Yakubu can make an awfull lot of chances for himself and others.
