Dont knock it we got the winner - they had a defender down for a while plus the VARs etc but 12 was ridiculous ....I understand for the extra 4. I was more confused by the initial 8.

Tarkowski also went down holding his hamstring, Coleman was subbed on, and there were some shenanigans around throw ins.I wasn't counting the seconds but we scored and were very slow getting back into our own half, Ndiaye went down with cramp, there was a sub, and a VAR check, I didn't think it was that surprising.
KDH should just start punching players instead of quick free kicks!
I can live with a ref being poor as long as he's poor towards both sides.…I thought he was generally poor for both sides yesterday, especially in blowing early when there was a clear advantage to play on.
We could/should have had a pen btw.18/10/24 Man City 2 Everton 0
Promising first half with Ndaiye excellent. Chances not taken so inevitable Haaland double sees us lose. He could have had 5 at the end.
Nothing much from a ref / VAR perspective.

Yep...today it was more of a handball that Tarkowski at Leeds. I guess the difference is that at Leeds penalty was awarded by the ref, whereas at city, the ref did not give a penalty. Var wouldn't need to intervene unless its an obvious error...rule is a joke to be honest. We could/should have had a pen btw.
If thats Tarkowski at the other end I'd say thats given.
That only depends on what club is involved. Not a penalty. But in the same way as Tarkowski's & Dewsbury-Hall's penalties weren't penalties either.
VAR in reality checks everything. We only hear “VAR check” when the ref has been informed they have seen something and play needs to halt next time the ball goes out for a real hardcore check. That only depends on what club is involved.
VAR didn't even get to check ours today , if its a Snake 6 club there'd be multiple views from every angle until they find one to give it .
Let's not kid ourselves here.
His foot/leg were 3 ft away from where the ball struck his arm & it was going straight , not seen anything different since.VAR in reality checks everything. There were claims that the ball glanced of his foot/leg yesterday, which can’t be seen from the camera angle that shows it hitting his arm and that negates a penalty. I’m not arsed enough to look into that, but seemingly now you could make yourself a giant blocker with arms outstretched, and if it hits your toe and then your outstretched arm, it’s not a penalty, even though there is definitely intent there. Total total luck of the draw at the moment.
I don’t think many fans want these completely accidental things to be handball. Yes his arms away from his body, but he’s not doing a Schmeicel starfish. Same as the ones given against us. The rule is a mess, its far to open to the interpretation or opinion of those involved, and should only be viewed at full speed.
