Why do footballers cover their mouths when they're talking to each other? Do they all have bad breath?

Yep I thought that was quite poor.

I remember seeing Royston Drenthe playing for the ressies against Villa years ago at Halton Stadium. Drenthe was running the show and one of the Villa kids did the whole 'your breath stinks' thing to him after a coming together, so the Villa reserve coach went mental and subbed him off.

Bit embarassing one of our senior players doing it in 2020 IMO.

A) get him out of his face and just make him look daft
B) could also make him lose his rag and do something rash.
C) he's havin a laff and enjoying his footy and doesn't give a 'k about big yard dogs.
