….yep, I think it’s an appointment aimed at maintaining our top flight status and getting us into a ‘safe state’. If we had more wiggle room then maybe they’d have been more adventurous but this is a high risk situation.

Different managers do it differently although it would all be negotiated together. Clubs also sometimes have their own staff such as strength and conditioning etc. Bielsa split all his payments equally among himself and his staff, others probably a set fee or % of the managers salary.
