Witsel? For those who think he doesn't want to come here at all, he was still negotiating with us at the end of last week and the substance of those negotiations indicated very firmly a willingness to come.
As for some time, in his hands

Fair enough, then why, now that almost every other avenue is closed, are we still waiting? I get the idea of 'let's wait until he chooses somewhere else', but there's GOT to be a point where it becomes untenable and an alternative is required.
Again, I get the window is open for another few weeks. If this goes to deadline day and he decides he'd rather suffer in Russia for another 6 months, leaves almost literally no time to bring in a replacement for a position we are woefully deficient in.We still have 3 weeks...there is time.

It is the Witsel thread mateWitsel?

It's all a bit "if it happens it happens" for a position we are very weak in. Let's say we don't get anyone in in the midterm and he rebuffs us on deadline day. What's the plan then?Exactly, it's a no cost option for us. We look for alternatives, if we land one that's fine, if we don't and he comes knocking late on then that's fine too, and a huge statement.
ObviouslyWitsel?

think he prefers us to Zenit but prefers Juve to us which is fair. Think it'll go down to deadline day and if Juve hasn't agreed with Zenit it'll come here rather than stay in Russia
It's one of two positions I think should have been sorted massively before today. That and keeper. Just surprised with adding to what we have has been left so late and the natural Evertonian in me is being massively pessimistic. We wont be waiting till Deadline Day to improve the midfield.
