meh, would rather have Schneiderlin at this point
He'll go somewhere on deadline day guaranteed.Apparently staying in Russia
Lead us on a merry dance all summer hopefully we can close this thread and forget this fuzzy haired bell
Honestly don't care tbh
MASSIVELY interested who we will be targeting should he not come here for one reason or another. Because we've been told, ad nauseam, that there is definitely a backup target and so on. Except we've been waiting on Witsel for 5 weeks now.
Schniederlin. My Southampton supporting friend was devastated when he left. He has not been as effective for Utd and with Pogba there now he will not be 1st choice.Just had a think about this. A box to box midfielder, available for the right price. Based on our other known targets and signings - I genuinely think we will be in for... Fabian Delph...

Koeman would know exactly how to use him too.
I like him, but is he creative enough for what we need? (I'm advocating Delph btw).

Never really seemed like it was ever really on.He'll go somewhere on deadline day guaranteed.
The 'I'm staying' nads is an attempt by his agent to reduce the fee being demanded in order to facilitate a move to Italy.
This ship has sailed for us, that much appears almost certain at this point

Once one Italian team expressed interest it's been stalled even tho the fee with Zenit was agreed and he agreed to wages. Honestly not sure how we even got to this point.
Didn't say I blame him or anything. Fee was agreed, terms were agreed. "The end".He's obviously looking out for himself. If you were him and you had the option of playing for Juve or Everton who would you choose? Not saying we still won't sign him, but I'd imagine he's waiting to see if a CL team calls and matches whatever we've offered.

There's been not a bit of movement for 5 weeks. It seems more likely he'll stay at Zenit than come to us. Every potential move has basically said 'no, ta' except us and, yet, here we are. Still waiting.
Fair enough, then why, now that almost every other avenue is closed, are we still waiting? I get the idea of 'let's wait until he chooses somewhere else', but there's GOT to be a point where it becomes untenable and an alternative is required. For those who think he doesn't want to come here at all, he was still negotiating with us at the end of last week and the substance of those negotiations indicated very firmly a willingness to come.
As for some time, in his hands
