As Juventus prepare for life after Paul Pogba, Alex Witsel has reportedly chosen the Bianconeri as his favoured destination.

The midfielder has starred for Zenit St Petersburg over the past three seasons, attracting the interest of numerous clubs across the continent.

With Pogba’s transfer to Manchester United all but confirmed, the Belgian international may feel that he can help fill the gap left by the Frenchman.

According to Sport, the 27-year-old is prepared to reject Premier League advances from the likes of Liverpool and Everton, in favour of a move to Turin.

However, the Bianconeri aren’t close to striking a financial agreement with the Russian club, meaning Witsel will need to wait a little longer for his future to be confirmed.

The midfielder comes off the back of a busy off-season, having played 90 minutes in all five of Belgium’s Euro 2016 matches, scoring his sixth international goal against the Republic of Ireland.
