Transfer Rumour Axel Witsel

One good thing about buying players from Swansea, Sunderland, Palace, The championship etc. is that players are hungry and motivated to play for Everton and proud to Wear the shirt...

If we buy players that takes a step Down or see themselves better than Everton they wont have a positive impact... If they play one good season they want to move on (Lukaku).. players like Cahill would just want to do even better NeXT season for Everton.

He has said a lot of things which haven't came to fruition

Esk passed on 'information' not 'facts', he held his hand up about the 'witsel is ours' crack. That's the way I've read it anyway, of course I can understand peoples frustration when they have taken things as gospel and it hasn't worked out.

You have to realise that any info he may get has probably changed hands a few times(or not who knows), just take it with a pinch of salt instead of banking on it to be true.

Very much this.

The Esk by all accounts sounds like an older bloke. I doubt very much he would be craving attention on an Internet forum through a ITK persona; but that said, whoever is providing him with his information is full of it.

I listened to Esk on Soundcloud from a moan in on a talk show and he mentioned Mourinho as a possible replacement for Martinez and sounded genuinely convinced. The presenters undoubtedly laughed it off. We should have seen the signs. I have and a lot of others most probably have lost money on 'Witsel is ours' and the percentage predictions on outside odd markets but there you go.

We've massively underachieved this summer. In all aspects of transfers including our ITK's :haha:

Oh I understand that it was just info, I just can't believe people took it that serious

So you've lost money, because a fella on GOT has said a transfer may happen ?

I now realise where the anti Esk stuff is really coming from.. The wallet.

But Esk said ...
All transfers are a game of chance.
It is obvious that we tried to sign Witsel , it is clear that we were not dismissed out of hand, but it looks as if he is determined to go to Juve.

Maybe you know how this saga progressed, I don't , but I think Esk was probably very close to being right apart from the last most important piece...signing.

To be honest I would've expected deals like this to come off given all the circumstances. I) the talk of the war chest II) final year of deal III) departing Russia.

I wouldn't trust Esk that much.

Really disappointing as I think he'd be great for us.

Judging by your tweets it doesn't look hopeful @The Esk , but are you basing it on his comments in the press or have you heard from your source that the deal is dead?

Could be a simple negotiating tactic from Axel I guess, but he's seems to have messed a lot of clubs around in recent years.

He's in the prime of his career - why wouldn't he want to spend it in the biggest league in the world?
