I'm still not getting this. This has been dragging on for ages. If he was coming I'm sure he would be here by now. A couple of weeks ago it was all down to his UK agent making daft demands in the contract. What has happened since? Have Everton walked away and no one knows this?

Not sure Dr EFC means its the offer per se, just the fact that Axel is keeping us waiting whilst he awaits someone he thinks as 'bigger' than us come calling. The perception with us holding out for so long is that we look small time. Not a view i hold might i add, as this transfer window without anything other than large wages to offer, we are going to have to play the long game and hope it pays off.

to be honest, he's doing exactly what I would do in a commercial relationship. Deadline is end of August, my value is only going to increase the closer I get to the deadline.

As much as I'd love him to have signed already, that's the truth.

Except he's a football player and its not a normal job. A normal player would want settled in and ready to play for his new team in their first game ideally. This lad is content to not kick a ball till after the September international break.
