Transfer Rumour Axel Witsel

Pretty bad for us fans knowing that Witsel doesn't want to join us at all, so is holding out as long as possible for a more attractive offer to come to fruition. Now the only reason he'll end up joining us is because nobody else put more money in front of him, not because he genuinely wants to be here or respects the club.

He's on holiday for christ sake, plus if you were a profesional footballer and a team who finished 11th two seasons on the trott came in for you would you be overly interested?
Its up to us to get these players here, and have a good season to keep them here!

In all honesty I think that's unfair on the lad. He has been playing football since last August and is now on holiday. He has, according to The Esk agreed to join once he returns from his holiday. Why should he break his, probably one holiday a year, short to keep afew fans happy.

Do me a favour mate Jesus.

The Inter rumours are ridiculous and a total fabrication by the Italian press. I wish other media would look into the situation before repeating click bait.

Inter cannot buy Witsel by their own admission. They're heavily restricted under FFP in terms of having to break even this year and squad limitations of 21 for Europa League games this season.

He has an offer on the table from us, Zenit are happy, nothing more to say.

Gazetta back this up stating that although Inter are really interested in Witsel, thay are severely restricted atm due to FFP, however Juve are now also sniffing around Witsel

Just thinking if somebody was offering me a contract worth about 20m over four or five years, I'd want to get it signed asap and have my future settled. Maybe footballers are so filthy rich that they don't care for that sort of stuff.

Juve have spent £30mil on Pjanic, and won't be buying another midfielder unless Pogba is sold.

The money they currently have without selling another player will be put towards a striker.

Very true.

But the appeal i would imagine for him right now would be kev and rom being here. If he wants out of russia then going to a club where he has fellow belgians, henan as well if he is part of the squad this year.

Just as a side note, yes of course footballers are 'filthy rich', but it's nothing compared to the F1 Drivers (Hamilton earns approx 35mil per-year), American footballers, golfers, baseballers... Just a point.

It's got nothing to do with that either. The lad is away, he can't have a medical and all of our training staff, managerial staff and playing staff are also in Austria...

Don't care if he doesn't respect the club. Welcome to the modern footballer. As long as they are good enough to make us better as a team then they will do.
