Says?Axel doesn't want to join us.
Pretty bad for us fans knowing that Witsel doesn't want to join us at all, so is holding out as long as possible for a more attractive offer to come to fruition. Now the only reason he'll end up joining us is because nobody else put more money in front of him, not because he genuinely wants to be here or respects the club.
That strikes me as the bargain end of the deal then. Cheers mateThe figures quoted to me have ranged between 14 and 20 million Euros.
In all honesty I think that's unfair on the lad. He has been playing football since last August and is now on holiday. He has, according to The Esk agreed to join once he returns from his holiday. Why should he break his, probably one holiday a year, short to keep afew fans happy.Pretty bad for us fans knowing that Witsel doesn't want to join us at all, so is holding out as long as possible for a more attractive offer to come to fruition. The Inter rumours are ridiculous and a total fabrication by the Italian press. I wish other media would look into the situation before repeating click bait.
Inter cannot buy Witsel by their own admission. They're heavily restricted under FFP in terms of having to break even this year and squad limitations of 21 for Europa League games this season.
He has an offer on the table from us, Zenit are happy, nothing more to say.
Just thinking if somebody was offering me a contract worth about 20m over four or five years, I'd want to get it signed asap and have my future settled. Maybe footballers are so filthy rich that they don't care for that sort of stuff. In all honesty I think that's unfair on the lad. He has been playing football since last August and is now on holiday. Gazetta back this up stating that although Inter are really interested in Witsel, thay are severely restricted atm due to FFP, however Juve are now also sniffing around Witsel
Very true. He's on holiday for christ sake, plus if you were a profesional footballer and a team who finished 11th two seasons on the trott came in for you would you be overly interested?
Its up to us to get these players here, and have a good season to keep them here!
