I love it when people say "from midfield".

He played 2nd striker 3/4 of the season.

That's why i put it in ''. Besides, he may have been positioned quite high up the pitch, but he is no 2nd striker imo.

Of course he was lid.

Just because he's "a midfielder", doesn't mean he played in midfield.

Just because he played between 'midfield' and 'striker' doesnt make him a '2nd striker'.

I know..he was a 2nd striker because he was right behind our top man a lot of the time, and a lot of the time our furthest man forward.

Ronaldo was often Man Utd's furthest man forward, is he a 2nd striker?

Felliani was also deeper than that many times. Either way, 9 goals is a pretty good return from, even compared to an out and out striker like Yakubu.

I'm looking forward to seeing if we see a 'new Fellaini' after the pre season. Hopefully Moyes' works on his mobility in the summer and we could really see a different player. He'll certainly improve with a pre season and be even more settled.

I hope he's been learning English aswell.

This is the season really isnt it. I think any excuses he had will be gone now. Hes a year older, he should be fairly settled, he should be used to the pace of the Prem and he knows what his team mates are all about.

Its time to shine Mo lid. Make me proud.

Best player in the world, 2011.

He attacked from the right wing coming inside.

He wasn't the furthest up the pitch because he was playing some secondary striker or attacking mid, it's cos there's no one who could keep up with him! Saying that, Ronaldo wasn't United's furthest player forward at all!

Ronaldo played as a wing forward for Utd, a more advanced winger so to speak like Victor Anichebe did for us this season. Starting on the right but coming inside and joining in at every oppurtunity. Even so you see Ronaldo picking the ball up in deep positions and bombing forward.

Fellaini doesn't operate in midfield anywhere near enough to be an attacking midfielder for me. He plays with his back to goal for the majority of the game, inbetween the lines and when our centre backs have the ball he's usually up against the two opposition centre backs looking to win flick ons.

Someone like Frank Lampard, who is classed as a attacking midfielder is completely different. He's always coming towards the ball and looking to get on it and make things happen. He very much operates in the midfield area.

I'm not saying Fellaini couldn't be used in a similar role, he was at the start of the season but at the moment is role in the team is as a second striker/forward and Moyes himself has mentioned this quite a few times. But he'd like to move him back once he becomes more experienced.

Ronaldo was practically a left forward.

This isn't Football Manager where you select if a player is a midfielder or a forward based on what his info says.

Best player on the pitch in the first half of the cup final IMO.

Youve seen the future and his has a fro.

Never more sure, already a great player.
