Away kit

plain tops are what people do when they go shopping in primark to spend on a £5 budget. If fans are going to be spending £50 they should be deserving more than a plain tshirt with a badge and a logo on it imo.
I'd say the quality of the material is more important. Some of the best kits ever made, including some of ours, have been simple to the point of 'plain'.

Why can we have a classic early 70s away kit like the one Alan Ball is wearing in the above photo. I like the amber coloured top. Also it would be nice if the club worked with the kit designers to produce a kit with names of former legendary Evertonians woven into the fabric of the shirt. Also for a third kit what about the claims White shirts and Black shorts that our 1933 FA cup winning team wore in the final, with the names of the players woven into the fabric, a nice tribute the past players of the club.
yup, amber and blue, that's the away kit for me.

Who the hell thought of this 'Born' marketing campaign for the kit? Using babies as the first point of viewing for both the kits was stupid. You can't see the full detail of any part of the kit and it doesn't have the sponsor on so it looks completely different anyway.

I get that they wanted to work with the 'born not manufactured' theme and that's nice, but they should have gone about it differently.

I know what your saying mate but I actually thought it was quite a clever marketing campaign tbh. I think there's a lot of folk that think everyone from Liverpool all wear Liverpool kits and everyone supports Liverpool. For me it's a bit of a nice sly dig at the shyte knowing they've never really done a baby campaign and showing that Everton fans really are born and not manufactured.

The kits don't look great I agree but I think it's more about the message it gets across that was the main idea behind the campaign. That's just my opinion though mate and I've mentioned previously I chat a huge amount of crap 87% of the time.

I agree.

It's ridiculous. It's a nice idea, but when all the fans are desperate to see the kits, especially the young supporters (maybe less so the dads), it just doesn't offer a lot of detail does it?

Shame.

It worked when the home kit was first coming out, with the whole born not manufactured marketing campaign, but I found it more annoying this time round.

That's the way to do it!

2003 was close:

The home and away kits looked great that season (bar the blue socks...) but my God was the quality awful. Like paper, think thats the one that the sponsors and badges fell off quite a few after a wash or two.

That 3rd kit we never wore was quality as well. Ive still got that somewhere! Same style shirt on blue and white would have made an awesome home kit.
