Just got back from the cinema and what a movie.
The 3D is absolutely brilliant, the special effects are like nothing you've ever seen before.
It follows the same path as most every action movie you've ever seen, but it's a fast, flowing, well told story. Good characters, some a little under-developed and some of the script a little wooden, but a wholly enjoyable film.
The close ups are pretty spectacular, the Avatar's are really lifelike; possibly the most realistic film creations after Gollum.
It will recoup its supposed $400 million budget in North America alone.
