I think we might be up against it here. It's their season starting next week so they're way ahead of us in fitness you'd have to think.

A draw would be very acceptable.

Not fussed about the result, interested to see the football we play though.

Yep.

It'd be nice if we had a great pre-season, but if we could face a decent outfit like Betis and wipe the floor with them 6 days before the season starts having not looked that impressive before then, that'll do for me.

The mood looks relaxed this year. Now that Sgt Major Moyes has frigged off they can express themselves in the ways of Roberto's philosophy.

*waits*

Hahaha, won't take long!
The last three years our first team players looked as though they were strangers in pre-season and couldn't string passes together. I hope this changes like, and it could be due to excessive muscular work I suppose.

Aye, I think so too. Think we'll see Oviedo, Kennedy and McAleany feature as subs.

It'll be interesting to see what Martinez makes of him, where he sees his role. Goat I think said he's more of a removed strike partner for a further advanced forward; I wonder if he can play elsewhere across the line of attack - a little deeper, perhaps?

Apparently we've been doing a lot more technical / attacking ball work than we ever did under moyes in pre season, i think under Moyes we didn't actually kick a ball for the first week or so. I'm not saying what moyes did was bad, will just be interesting to see if theres any difference.
