Excellent write up.

Disappointed it was not just a power point presentation of various pointing pictures of Phil, while having the music of Wilson Philips played in the background.

Great professional and ambassador for the club, best of luck to him.

Ha, I was really tempted to ask about the pointing but chickened out.

Somebody asked about the stepovers - Neville admitted he started doing it as a pisstake and to make the team laugh.

One of the other things he said regarding the 2009 semi vs Utd in the shoot out was that the team were really relaxed whilst waiting on the halfway line, whilst they could see the Utd players really tense. Neville said Pienaar broke wind and it stunk, and everyone was wetting themselves moving away from him.

Oh yeah, they mentioned Duncan Ferguson too. Neville echoed many of Moyes comments about him in today's articles.

Neville said Duncan was always good to him when they were teammates, but that Dunc could be a bit of a loner at times and not really socialising with the rest of the team. When he came back from Majorca though in 2011, he was a completely different person, far more mature and approachable. He said Dunc is a really hardworking coach who is going to have a big career in the game, he said the kids in the Under 18 team look up to him so much, and that Dunc has a real presence about him as a manager.

Sharp said it's probably too soon for Dunc to be Everton manager, but if he goes away and gets some experience elsewhere, he could see him coming back and being EFC manager one day as he loves the club and totally gets it and what it's all about.

That's the most pleasant post I've read in a while. Gave me a warm fuzzy feeling. I look forward to that day.

He comes across such a nice bloke, i wished he had been a better player.. he would have been a real hero for us.

Haha that's brilliant. Cheers mate, really good read, deserves rep.

Great post and I think of Phil Neville as an Evertonian more than I do a former ManU player.

Admire his honesty (on the Wigan match) and the fact that he was open and honest with everyone there. Also, Moyes idea about not hounding the referees just reinforces the idea that Moyes is a class manager and a class person.

Thanks for sharing, BoysInBlue. Neville is a really good sport, a proper decent egg, that lad. Like Moyes, he gave his all for us, even if it wasn't always good enough for us demanding fans.

He's not ready for our top job, but I wish him luck during his fledgling coaching career.

Sharp noted that Kendall was like Sir Alex, he always instructed himself, Gray and Reid etc to hound the referee.

Difference between Kendall & Moyes is obvious. Moyes is doing the more honorable thing, but as a result probably lost a few points per season because of it.

Man Utd fans will have to adapt to this honorable approach.

Yeah, you could see how relaxed and at-home he looks when the camera went to him chatting to Moyes's Dad during the West Ham match.

Definite future Everton manager is Big Dunc.

Cheers for the info mate. Dunno how you managed to remember all that, memory like an elephant.
