Modern Goodison atmosphere

The modern Goodison atmosphere hasn't been the same as it use to be, very dim in games we are expected to win, time to change that?

Very poor now. Not helped by the loss of the most intimidating section of the whole ground several years back -- when the lower corner of Gwladys St/Goodison Rd was given over to the ESDA. It used to kill me the stick visiting corner takers used to get in that corner, particularly when it was terracing. In the big games the guy taking the corner would just be trying to get out of there as soon as possible.

The loss of that section also tends to act as a break in a song or chant being carried round into Goodison Rd itself.

This is why I back safe standing, would add more atmosphere to the game instead of sitting down like boring old lemons.

People were complaining about the atmosphere when I started going decades ago which shows 2 things

1. We don't shout and sing unless we're excited and

2. As Evertonians we all love a good moan.
