It's desperate times as Norris Green Blue says. It's fortunate he joined up in September 2014 to tell us.

I know you're not questioning the validity of his Blueness. He's genuinely concerned that away teams are having an easy ride at Goodison because we aren't singing for 90 minutes. It's a real problem we have to face up to.

Never judge an atmosphere by how it comes over on radio or TV. How it comes over will depend on sound pick-ups. However yesterday was particularly poor. The thing is, Roberto's teams don't play 'edge of your seat with excitement' type football. It's more for the connoisseur.

That idea ranks with playing a catchy tune when the home team scores or waving giant flags like they do at Arsenal.
