There's a good chance he thought it was offside, seemed most of the players thought it was too including Vlasic himself. They seemed surprised when the goal was given.

Just enjoy it for what it was, a confidence building exercise. We're coming off a season of some of the worst football we'll ever likely see, fan base on its ass, players can't make a 5 yard pass. It's only the first game of preseason who's arsed if it's not exactly the most competitive
