Aston Villa / Keith Wyness

I can't understand the vitriol being directed towards Aston Villa. They are a big club in trouble, I know it is trouble of their own making but I still have sympathy for them and the people who pay their money to go and watch them.
They will pay a price as they will struggle for years now to get things back on track but to want them out of existence is going to far, in my opinion.

Villa are English Footballing Royalty and Villa Park is a wonderful away day

I really hope they can push on from these dark days

Loved watching the Villa side of Yorke back in the day
I was at Wembley in 1977 as a 17 year old with a few mates the same age, I'd stayed overnight and therefore had a full day in Central London before the league cup final mixing with the Villa fans and having some great banter.
That has always stuck with me coupled with the fact in the main they have always played attractive, attacking football, unfortunately they have been severely mismanaged the last few years and there are some of our younger fans who will only have known them in something of a downtrodden state.
I can't understand some of the vitriol aimed against them on here, as far as I'm concerned they are a big, historical club like ourselves and I hope they will be back in the premiership sooner rather than later,
