He speaks very well - I’ve nothing but massive respect for him now. He’s played nearly 60 games for us despite coming when everyone thought he was finished. Same age as Rooney next to him with Gabby.

He'll be on low wages, is versatile, and has vast experience. He's worth keeping on, particularly as we go through a transitional squad period. It isn't possible to have a whole new squad/team come in over one window, so it makes sense to renew some contracts, as long as it is a year by year thing.
