Contract talks really? He’s been good and bad a stop gap signing, lots of players needed in the summer so not sure what to make of him getting an extra year. Reduced contract and squad player but at his age could have a huge drop off rapidly especially if not getting the minutes probably a sensible signing for squad size but not one I’m too impressed with.

I'm not to be honest, remember him chasing down a ball, after 90 mins against Wolves when we had the game won, to gain a minor advantage - no else on our team would do it, particularly not at 39 - you want those standards in your squad.

Hel get no more then 10 mins here and there, when i went and had a look at his contributions last night he has more assists then any of our wide players bar McNeill - who is on set pieces and played centrally anyway except for a couple of games.

He made a huge contribution in the first half of the season.

If you are going to bring in a plethora of young talent - new to the club, i want them learning of the habits and standards of someone like Young.
