If he stays it is purely for the money, he won't get the same wages anywhere else. If he is to go we will be topping up his wages for the next year. It would be worth it to get rid of him,
If he stays, it means we havent replaced him.
Currently, whether we like it or not, hes probably our 3rd or 4th best CB, until that changes, hes going nowhere.

Legitimate question/discussion, this... I peg him #4 CB easily. Is there an argument to be made where he ranks higher than Keane, Holgate or Jagielka?

As bad as he has been, he would actually have to be dead to have Keane ranked above him and even then it would be debatable. At least Williams has some presence on the pitch, Keane is a non-entity.
